Mango Chutney

Mango Chutney

A sweet-tangy, gently spiced mango chutney that livens up everything from cheese boards to curries to sandwiches. It's an easy one-pot condiment, and the mango flavor comes through beautifully with a boost from Nano Turmeric, our nano-formulated curcumin made for enhanced absorption, which tastes like sweet mango with no earthy notes at all. Make a jar and keep it in the fridge for effortless flavor all week.

Why this recipe works

Chutney is all about balance — sweet fruit, tangy vinegar, warm spice, and a little heat simmered until jammy. Mango is a classic base, and Nano Turmeric deepens that mango flavor and adds its golden color and enhanced-absorption curcumin. Stirring it in off the heat at the end keeps the flavor and curcumin at their best.

Ingredients (makes about 2 cups)

  • 2 cups diced mango (fresh or frozen; ripe but firm)
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red chili flakes (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 sachet Nano Turmeric

Instructions

  1. Combine. Add the mango, onion, vinegar, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, chili flakes, and salt to a saucepan.
  2. Simmer. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat and cook, stirring often, until thick and jammy, about 25–30 minutes.
  3. Add the Nano Turmeric. Take the pan off the heat and stir in the Nano Turmeric — off the heat keeps the flavor and curcumin bright.
  4. Cool and store. Let cool, then transfer to a jar.

Tips & variations

  • Keeps well: Store in the fridge and use within about 2–3 weeks.
  • Warm spice: Add a pinch of cinnamon or a couple of cloves while simmering for extra depth.
  • Adjust the heat: More or less chili to taste.
  • Serve it everywhere: Pair with sharp cheese, dollop over curry or grain bowls, spread on sandwiches — or use it on a breakfast burger.

The OurJrney difference

Nano Turmeric is formulated for enhanced absorption, so more of what you eat is actually usable by your body — no piperine needed. Because it tastes like sweet mango, it's a natural fit for a sweet-tangy chutney — a versatile condiment that helps support joint comfort and your body's healthy inflammatory response.
